At the beginning of 2026, the lighting industry will welcome multiple mandatory standards and certification regulations, promoting the industry to upgrade towards safety, efficiency, and green direction.

Starting from January 1st, the new version of GB/T 7000.1-2023 "Luminaires Part 1: General Requirements and Tests" will be enforced, fully replacing the old version of the standard. New applications for CCC certification must use the new version, and the old version certificate must be converted by the end of 2026.

On March 18th, the State Administration for Market Regulation issued the mandatory national standard "Energy Efficiency Limit Values and Energy Efficiency Grades for LED Products Used in Indoor Lighting", which will be implemented on September 1, 2027. The new regulations expand product coverage, raise energy efficiency entry barriers, add standby energy consumption requirements, and promote the extension of lighting energy efficiency from "operational energy efficiency" to "full-time energy efficiency".

In addition, the State Administration for Market Regulation has issued the "Implementation Rules for Green Product Certification - Lighting Products", which includes lighting products in the national green certification system; GB 26572-2025 "Requirements for the Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products" will be implemented in August 2027, with mandatory limits for 10 types of hazardous substances such as lead and mercury.
