According to the latest data from the China Lighting Electrical Appliances Association, in the first two months of 2026, the export value of "lamps, lighting devices and their components" in China was about 6.5 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 17%, and the industry showed a trend of recovery.
The association pointed out that the industry is currently in a critical period of structural adjustment, with domestic demand under pressure but export resilience increasing. At the beginning of the 15th Five Year Plan, enterprises will focus on three major directions: first, intelligent and healthy lighting, integrating dimming, color matching, and light health technologies to adapt to home and commercial scenarios; The second is green and efficient products, with high energy efficiency, low harmful substances, and long lifespan becoming the mainstream in the market; The third is engineering and overseas channels, relying on platforms such as the Ancient Town Lantern Expo and the Shanghai/Guangzhou Special Exhibition to expand high-end engineering and global distribution networks.
Industry insiders say that the industry is shifting from scale expansion to quality and technology upgrading. Through research and development innovation, compliance upgrades, and channel optimization, enterprises are creating differentiated competitiveness and promoting China's transition from a "lighting manufacturing power" to a "lighting technology powerhouse".
